Hi to all experts here ! ! I am currently driving a E46 325i for the passed one and a half year . I plan to modified it and i saw many E46 in Penang having wide body !(Damn Cool) . . jus wana be like one of them ! but i have no confidence at all . I am not sure whether after modified and my car turn bad and is not as smooth as now ! the shop reccommand me to use spacer - 19/265-275/30 for rear rim and typefront - 19/235-255/35...Spring booster for more powerfull pick up .TO all the experts here please leave me comments on whether the widebody modification will take and negative effects on my car . . . THANKS . . .

The widebody modifications might look good but your FC might take quite a toll. If FC is not a concern the do feel free to install the sprint booster and widebody modifications. After all this modifications, your car would be more of a cruiser than a cornering machine due to the added unsprung weight and tire width.

as for wide body conversion, i you don't mind having your car being knok knok, bang bang or cut here weld there to reshape the metal then by all means..

As for adding spacers, u'll just need to replace your wheel bearings more often as the car was probably not designed to run such wide wheel base and as such put more stress on the wheel bearings, especially with our ultra 'smooth' road surface..

Sprint booster, please search for past threads on this little gadgets. there has been discussions on it..

actually, no need to do all that, just change your 325 to the M3... Power and looks all in one...

I agree with what u say . wide body need 19' rim and it cost reali alot for maintain and it does effect the real 325 feeling as the car is not designed for widen body . . But the m3 body kit is too normal . . tons of ppl are having the same body . . i just wan my car to look better

There are tons of way to make your ride look better and unique without resorting to widebody mods and other mods that affects the characteristic of the car in a negative way...

p/s" FC means Fuel Consumption :D

Thx bro . . So any reccommanded ways to make my 325 look more sporty ? ? ? i wait to see my car turn better . . i wanted to do it when i was in secondary but then that time my mum was riding it so no chance . .
You all must let me know what type of accessories i have to install . cuz i am newbie ! haha Thanks bro . I will not go for widebody since there are so many negative facts ....
So for the rim 18' will do ? ? ? what about those suspension and breaks ? ?

18" inch is the best compromise between looks and performance .. Suspension wise go for coilovers is the best option if not lowered springs will do with standard absorber (but your absorber will wear out faster) or with bilstein b8 or koni's ...
Have a look at the showroom section for other members ride and see the mods that they have done .. or check out www.e46fanatics.com showroom section for inspiration and ideas :D

ok will go for 18' for sure NO more wide body ! ! haha . . .
So can tell me what i reali have to change to make the car look more sporty ? ? ?
I've change the front projector and rear light . . what else ? ? ? can list out everything if possible ? ? ? THX bro

need picture ? ? ? i'll take it . . but nothing special . . mine is all original ! ! nothing had changed b4 except the light . . . 325i 2002 . .rim body its all original . . . look same as others

M3 side mirrors are great.
i had them come with my car, they look good to me.
add some small acs spoiler will be good as well

What you bought might have a defect in it because the housing might not be sealed properly with silicone. Yes, there are tons of ways to mod your ride. Some maybe extreme with wide bodykits and 20" rims complimented by a huge GT-wing or subtle modifications like additional skirting or ACS Aerodynamic mirrors and etc. Finally looking sporty and feeling sporty is different, if you want handling and power then you would have to sacrifice on the addons which add unsprung weight and for a sporty looking car it would be the other way around. Sry for the long and boring post

haha thanks bro . . need to balance up the performance and sporty look haha . . . is there any way to increase the car hp or more power to the car ? ? ?

Try replacing the stock air filter with the K&N drop in filter, spark plugs and an aftermarket grounding kit would improve the smoothness of the power delivery. Could consider getting anti-roll bars and changing your dampers. This are only but a few basic modifications which would make your car more enjoyable. :top:

How much will it cost ? ? ? Do you mind to list out the aprox price for me thanks . . . since i have no idea what are they and how much it cost . . . i will make a survey after u let me know
