E46 325i Engine - is it a leak?

Dear all,Today, this evening I decided to pop up the engine hood for a quick look and to my horror, I found some oil on the side of the engine. I'm still puzzled as to what happened. Attached is some photos I took. Anyone care to share what happened??Thanks all yo..

Did u check your dipstick for oil level ?
