I have collected my CBU UK e39 530i black premium sport and went for the following parts : 1st Stop - M1 Segambut Replaced 2 front absorbers and mounting accessories for RM 1860 Replaced missing white side signal indicator - whole set for RM 105 Conclusion, fast and attentive but price is very high - cut throat aka cut neck 2nd Stop - BM World, Bandar Tun Razak Left side mirror cover dislocated by someone (culprit or passerbys placed the cover loosely back on to the exposed metal mirror, thankfully) Black glue on 4 legs and taped for for glue setting overnight - FOC ! said is a goodwill service, pleasantly surprised me. Conclusion, nice and pleasant chats with the young man there, gained insight on the extremes of SC and other good infos. Amazing knowhow. 3rd Stop - HKL Motor works, Taman Segar Perdana, Cheras ( nearby my house ) Lemforder Front Lower Arm 2 pcs x 400 = RM 800 Bilstein Long Shaft Coupling 1pcs = RM 185 Engine mounting 2 pcs x 170 = RM 340 Gearbox mounting 2 pcs x 65 = RM 135 DOT4 all brakes oil flushing/siphon = Rm 32 Intake air filter = RM 48 The checks were performed on my request that the driving wasnt smooth over bumps as i feel the car felt slided sideways. Any other items which the mechanic (boss) suggested to change and hence the above items were ordered and replaced. I have also indicated to him another problem, my steptronic gearshifts from D to S without problems but will be stuck from S to D. Only after a few more tries, the gear will engage D. This is odd and i fear the worst (few days ago went to another BMW specialst in Kuchai Lama and the boss says it could be this and that blah blah, may need some chop shop items or costly replacements) The boss Ah leong dismantled the gearshift cover from the driver seat and flipping the gears trying to find the fault. He tried it for 10minutes and modified a metal sheet as a retainer to make the shift back from S to D. He did it in 15 minutes. Later i found from the above picture it is a missing item 2 and 3. It was not there in the gearshift assembly. Ah leong solved it without even knowing the missing items and no parts diagrams to refer and i am impressed. All works completed and after a 2 test drives and checks/adjustments at exhaust portion, the car still have a faint rattling noise. Again the test drive and found the culprit in the rotor back cover having steel debris causing the sound. Another test drive and car up on jacks again for bolts tightening. The determination to solve the noise issue are evidently demonstrated here. The bill for all the above works are RM 120, i was like OMG. Felt guilty for the bill amount and promptly paid before he change his mind, lol. Total Bill = RM 1865
