Like what bro Ariff Habshi said, try to avoid the 520i as its really underpowered. At least get a 523i. As far as I'm concerned only the early E39 batch that was sold in the states runs on 4-speed unit. I do own an E39 and its has been a real pleasure to drive her every single day.
