i agree totally with ssman... to be honest guys, all your cars are mean to run on 91. and can run on minimum 89. Basically a goodgrade of kerosene also can sapu. in the states and middle east...mainly 92. 95 is considered premium. If you can actually feel the different between 95 and 97 on your car.. i assume the smallest here is a 2.8 litre.. you must be a test driver or something. ona 97, it evaporate faster so theoritically should advance your burnt out/timing hence more power. lower Ron, slower, causes knocks and your ecu will retard, hence less power.. significant in small compact engine, but on your 7s, i cannot see that is any different. If you can actually feelthedifferent, something is not right with ur engine in the first place.. you are not runningthe full potential of it.. having much unburnt fuel due to low VE. might be time to do a head clean up.. The ranking of Petrol Retailer in terms of fuel quality, i am not too sure to agree with ssman . In the pass,it is very true as there is a avery big gapin pricein terms of kerosene and gasolin. Some celaka dealers mix the kerosene into the gasolin they are selling. Petronas had nosuch probleminthose days as all stations, kerajaan punye..company owned. Otherslike shell are mostly Dealer Owned. Today it is very different. No more kerosene or diesel to mix. Fuel injected carsare so sensitive that it will stop if any foreign fluid is detected. The Veeder-Root sensors are online 24/7 link to every oil majorcontrol room. any changes in density, dew point and level triggeres the alarm. So no change of foul play there. so..i wont waste my time with higher RONs as it will not make any different to me except RM8 per full tank. Alan
