The car cost more then RM40K.. I do understand that RM40K budget can't buy a car with my expectations. Anyway this is a 1997 model, Single owner (me second) Produced by Auto Bavaria and serviced there since till today. I might have to break that .. AB very expensive la. and furthermore with so much leads and advice from all the UDM Gurus here.. can save a lot.

congrat on aquiring a UDM for yourself after such a long search. However look at the picture of the car, the front kidney grill seem to be pre-1997 face lift model. Might wanna to confirm the year again.

Ya lor me oso just noticed. And yr fender signal oso the big one. I guess yr car is pre 97 lar. Better check it out

hmmm.. The reg card said made Jan 1997. Regis March 1997.. May be this is 1996 model sold in early 1997.. What to do.. I dont know much... Anyway its a good car. I suppose it wont make much diff between pre 97 and post 97.

Yr aircon is digital type or normal one? Yr engine using clutch fan or electric fan? There r a lot of thing different in BMW as latest model get the latest gadget in the model production. Of course is a good car. Its BMW lar. My bro just bought new Civic 2.0 ivtec. Its good car oso but for that much of money I rather go for E39 M54B25. BMW is a driver car. Thats why u enjoy driving it.

Facelifted model refers to changes of the front grill. Digital aircon is one of the gadget that available on latest yr prodn. But it may differ from 318, 325 & 328 and also CBU & CKD model. I'm still learning on BMW oso when comparing among members car and also when searchin for my car for 6 months last time. Thats why I always advice to get the latest yr model. Some of the feature mite not obvious but for me little thing counts. Maybe other E36 sifu can give inputs oso.

P/S: Sori bro for off topic. BTW since yr car is silver color, I'm selling my ori hartge spoiler wt silver color racun kuaaaaaat

Anyway, aircon is digital, as for engine fan dont know how to see..

But as for Ah Meng, he said its a good car.. just a few minor things to check and initial maintainance to be done prior to any long distance drive.

What other things thats different from Pre Facelift.. Oh ya.. got armrest but owner request to sell back to him as his wife's 1993 CBU Japan Spec E36 dont have. RM1000 discount on the car price..

in terms of looks the 1st option would be rims, tyres & springs. These will make the most dramatic change to the look of your car. Anything less than 17in I wouldn't bother... even 17 also looks small unless you get those with longer spokes.

Ok lar got digital aircon. I think yrs is early 97 but no worry u can convert to facelift version when u do bodykit. If the front part of yr engine is connected wt the front fan it is clutch fan as it using engine power. If electric fan the front part got more room. Most japs & proton using elec fan. Its give less load to the engine. But all the 6 pots E36 using clutch fan. Aahh just remember that I just posted my car engine bay pic. U can view and compare. Yup first get the rim first and at least get 17in and try to get lightweight rim. Dun tell that I'm not telling u this later.

I need advice for one problems.. My aircon even I on the recycle mode the outsideair still come in.. If I am in Kuching OK la.. got fresh air but in KL.. BUS Diesel's smell la.. Aiyo so tak dapat tahan...

Sad to say....common problem for E36. You might wanna make it more tolerable by replacing the microfilter or installing a microfilter if there's none in the first place. Congrats!

I will have the aircon checked and the microfilter changed.. hope the Diesel smell be less..
