Just in case anyone's wondering.... We've all seen japanese powerplants swap into UDMs, what about a big ol' yankee 5.7l pushrod V8 generating minimum 345hp/380lb ft torque  Engine swap probably threw out the 50:50 weight distribution right out of the window lol video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mekVDC9I1fA

The engine bay looks cleaner with more space even with a huge V8 in a small E36 ... hmm! interesting. I guess this chap wanted full grunt and raw power.

Everything is possible mate.

I, too, will be involved in rebuilding an old-school CHEVY V8 350ci 5.7L for my brother's classic 2-door Monaro project, right here in KL. Those lovely no-nonsense durable, torquey and merciless Chevy small block.

Ahhhh! Corvettes, Chevys, Mustangs....Detroit's best huh, KL2DC? :)

It's a pity the Yanks don't give a sh*t about the RoW and didn't have RHD variants of some of their classics. They were rough for sure, but big on grunt and charisma

Japs, Contis, American....like different species of cars!
