e36, 325 gearbox

hello to all sifus....im new to dis website n me,babyvanos just bought e36,325 1995 model n had spend 6k for my lovely bimmer.!!..hehe..& rite now ma gearbox plak is not healthy..there r times wen im drivg at 2nd gear goin to 3rd gear, it goes free!! i will then release my pedal & e gear will get back to normal plak.. so i chnge gearbox fluid & filter, but occasionally it happens again & again.. is it bcoz of gearbox or valvebody dat is givin me stomachache headache..:[im lost & wud really appreaciate ur assistance..
