I was quoted get ready 10K to overhaul, that time new in BMW worried and never mix and know anybody of this make so blur. at last look for a second hand engine and mine you m40 was not easy to get than and lastly lucky got one from Ipoh Road only one from Japan and cost me RM5500 so buy and all I can recall I spend nearly 7k. thats not all I have change my gearbox all because of the stupid boys bad workmanship, my wiring looms from the engine to the computer box can say all change except body. this is not to scare you but be prepared anything can happen to an old car and don't blame the earlier owner nobody knows what is inside.Good luck.</blockquote>
