Hi I need some help here.I have a 1990 525i, service regularly.recently i change my transmission oil because there was some leakaround the gasket.I used the original BMW T oil.A week after the change, i experience a jerk each time i engage to reverse gear.My mechanic say it could be some sticky valve, he ask me to service the gearbox. I am curious why it only happen after the T oil change.it has been 3 weeks now, and there is still the jerking. Have any one with this problem. or anyone has a good mechanic for gearbox problems.thanks :)

dear marktan,

sometimes, it does happens when you do a oil change especially a transmission oil change, did the mechanic do a 'just drain and fill up' of a complete flushing ?

on a drain n' fill up does sometimes has some side effects cos old oil and new oil mix-up and causes some problems to the seals, gears and solenoids..

bring it back to the mechanic and find out the real problem..

regards.

I have check the oil, it's more than enough.

when you mean 'more than enough' that's the oil level is above the max height ?
if it is, then it will cause some harm to your box..it should be on the mark, no less, no more..

regards.:)
