mine is a ckd 1993 model. is it possible to relocate the battery from enginebay to underneath the back passenger seat ?i meant - is it already pre-wired cabling wise and i just do a physical move?
pre-wired?..no..i dun think so, you have to buy positive very big gauge red cable to connect battery power from under seat to engine bay, very hard to get NEW battery cable.., I had checked with AB before, they don't have the stock.., but i think you can get it (not easily) at chop shop..price range from RM100-200.
Maybe you have to take out the dash board for easy installation of the cable...
May I know why you want to relocate your battery? for its longer life? :nyehehe:
Sometimes I worry about that long cable run from rear to front...

will it use drain more power for starting the engine? can someone answer this as I use to own an MGA those days and the battery is also at the back seems abit far does it.

albundy, i know some e34 came with battery under the back seat and from my own random survey - those seems to have a longer battery life - probably because underneath the seat it is cooler etc.
anyway i thought it would be an interested mod if i can do it on the cheap.
some questions then:
1. are the brackets etc all there underneath the seat ie i'm just missing the long cable?
2. do i just need a short cable for earthing and just one long cable for the positive link back to engine bay
3. how is the cable routed in cars where back seat battery is standard?
