my handbrake previously required max force with a zillion clicks for it to be engaged.i finally had it adjusted and whoa did it make a difference.now it takes just 4 clicks and the car can stand still on a slight gradient.the adjustment is on the wheel and NOT really on the handbrake.the starwheel at the rear wheel needs to be adjusted.the adjustment at the handbrake is just to take up the slack.should've done this long ago.and no,i couldn't do this with the wheel still mounted.wheels need to be off so that the flathead screwdriver can turn the starwheel from one of the wheel locknut holes.
