Co-incidentally that same day, the a/c short circuit and started smoking inside the car. Wiring problem. Same day, rear axle bushes koyak, can feel judder when changing gears and can hear funny sounds from back. So called up my trusted mechanic, Albert, and off the car went in for rectification. Here's what was done.....1. Changed plug coil, 2nd hand for RM120. If new, each plug coil is about RM100+++ so around RM600 for 6. Albert suggested no need to waste money on a new one2. Rear axle bush replaced, incl workmanship around RM300+. Bringing down the axle is a massive job. Exhaust had to come off, diff and axle. Sick and tired of blower switch not working, blower speed funny, a/c not cold, wiring bakar, etc etc decided to change entire a/c system. So a 2nd hand 24 valve M50 a/c system went into the car. All parts and labour circa RM1,800.
