this is a strange thing i have been observing... the service indicator (5 green LEDs and warning LEDs). the green LEDs would usually turn to orange or red when i do about 10,000km. but after some oil change to a different brand, only 3 goes off after 10,000km. why? fyi, my last change was done on September 18 and i drove to kl the next day. yesterday, i did 10,000km (less than 3 months) and only "used up" 3 green LEDs. does that mean i can keep using the oil until i hit the warning LED? does that also mean the syntentic oil i use is better? i have been "playing" with all kinds of oil and it seems that each brand i change to seems to improve it. how does the service indicator work? i usually like to change oil at 10,000km interval or earlier. should i change oil? longhorn
