hi experts out there; recently i ha my e30 properly restored with new paint and new doors/fender and stuff, but i discovered that the mirror switch does not work anymore for the right side. so when i opne it up and i found out one of the pins is broken and stuck in the wire socket. so i got a new switch but i had to remove the stuck pin. when i open up the plastic housing containing the sockets, i have forgotten the positions of these 6 wires and now i dont know how to put them back properly :( anyone here who can advise on these? the wires are color coded though... thanks

thank you. works perfectly.

but now there is one problem... the right side mirror motor seems to be making some noise to turn but the mirror isnt changing direction. gears not properly attached?

can i disassemble the mirror mechanism to take out the motor to fix it?

Yea. Sounds like it's not attached properly. Give it a try. GL

try looking at the bottom of the side mirror...there is a small hole sufficient for you to put in a small flat tip screwdriver...
try to lock one of the gears....move from left to right (i think)...and the mirror will dislodge itself....

Preacaution...have a towel on the floor to prevent any damage to the mirror incase if it misses your hand...

Hope it works...
