Cempaka, have you seen the real pictures of that knob or do you own it? I couldnt seem to find a real photo of how it looks. From REALOEM it seems there is no speed indicator, just solid wood. Is that what it is?

BMW gearknobs can be used on all BMW models with a stickshift... and also that plastic gear position emblem can be changed on some knobs...

Thanks Fabian for the tip. I really do not know that all generations' knobs fits. Am thinking of changing mine to a wooden one...just not sure how well it will fit my car without any wood trim in it. Otherwise love the feel of it.
