Hai all the sifu,i am having problem with my front and rear absorber system. I don't know when the previous owner last replace it. I have own the car for the last 1 year. The absorber are weak now especially when carrying passengers. Check around spare part shops and they suggested various brands. As far as i understand the original system was using bilstein but very expensive. I am not sure which to choose. I am planning to replace all four sets to have a better ride. Will appreciate if anyone can suggest a reliable and suitable brand as replacement. Thank you

Original OEM is surely not Bilstein. I think its Boge.

You can choose Boge, Bilstein Black......if you want some thing less exotic, but if you wants sports - Bilstein Yellow are the way to go. Konis are another choice although i think not as good as the Bilstein.

In end, you know best what your car is for.....comfort or racer wanna be. Choose accordingly to suit your needs n budget.

dear sifus,

thank you for the suggestions. i have contacted Titan and also another supplier for boge and bilstein. waiting for a fovarable reply.

thank you

I've just changed to Bilstein B8s on my E30 recently. Certainly no complaints, they are MUCH better compared to the Bilstein B4s I had previously.

i'm currently using my own custom made adjustable shock absorber (hi lo, soft hard) due to ready stock absorber market prices quite expensive.. and then cannot be service too..

bumb ubm!

B8 is good, but can make you poor. B4 altho softer is value for money on a daily driver.

i concur.....
now i'm on boge turbo and it is okay for a mild driver with a very humble ride like me however i believe it also can accommodate those not so "young & dangerous" driver with their pseudo supersonic rides.... cheers!
