E30 front absorber size

How to identify the size of 318/320 shaft with 325 shaft?How big is the diameter? Coz i'm confuse which one is mine.Mine is ori 323i local model. Some said that mine is small shaft same with 318/320.Dunno if the previous owner have change it to 325 strut.Any of u have the picture of both type of absorber? Really need help on this.

should be 45mm unless owner change before shock housing,from picture is very hard to see.best way is take a shock to try.

I know the 325 housing is bigger than 318. But i confuse which one is mine coz maybe previous owner has change it b4. So i want to know how to differentiate the 318 and 325 strut.

actually there is two type of size only,before year 87 model is using 45mm,after year 88 is using 51mm.so 318 & 325 is the same,part number is the same.you can check it at bmwfans.com or realoem.com.
