I managed to fix the differential noise pollution by cranking up my radio a natch or two, but lately, becoming increasingly itchy to make it right. From my personal experience, i know, that not all BMW specialists are skillful enough to work on differentials. Thus, i am looking for a proven sifu recommended and tested by others. My preferred BMW mechanic is able to rebuild it, but no guarantees offered. Sorry to say, but after spending some $$$, least i can expect from repair work carried out is a GUARANTEE. Option B, is to buy another unit, provided one i am getting is better than my own, i can sell off my old faulty unit to some one that might never want to friend in the future, reason why i shall try to avoid this option.
