E28 Alpina B9

Hi all,In the latest issue of motortrader, someone advertised an E28 Alpina B9.Just wondering whether any member knows of the car, i.e whether it's genuine, condition, etc. Also, what are your views on the asking price?Cheers!

Seen the pics. Didn't think that Alpinas came with metric wheels originally. The seats look bog standard too. Would have thought that, Alpina being Alpina, they would have given it a complete makeover.

apparently the car was sold to one of our forumner...

and the new owner is selling it off now...

thts y the asking price is higher....if everthing is there, then worth the buy....but the rims and front valance is not there...as i knw off...

u can contact the old owner if you for details as his uncle was the first owner..

Went to view the car yesterday. A bloody waste of time. Talk about misleading advert, it says "excellent condition" when the truth is far from it. It needs a total restoration, the only saving grace is that it still has quite a fair bit of alpina parts on it. Not sure about, the engine though as i didn't see any alpina marking on the engine . My view the car in its current state will probably worth RM10-15k nothing more.

Yup, I'vee seen the car in the flesh as well,.........definately not worth the asking price.

The most important bits, ie: the rims and the front spoiler is not on the car.

Confirmed that the car is not an original Alpina. The car was originally a 528i purchased locally. How do I know? Ran the VIN at AB and that's what the record says.

Only locally assembled cars will show up in AB's database. Imported cars will not! Hmmm.....maybe I should send the VIN to Buchloe just for fun..........
