hi..just want to ask,can i use e30 suspension for my e21?is there any e30 parts that can 'kacuk' with e21?thanks.

hi arifazman,
if its the engine (i assume yours is 6cylinder), then its the same engine with e30 m20. however, e21 use carburettor or for the e21 323i, k jetronic injection which is different to the e30.

for suspension, the rear is different, e21-macpherson, e30 - separate spring and dampers. for the front, it's also different.
i'm not sure what parts are interchangeable, perhaps others can advise.

what's your e21 model?

thanks -fm-..mine is 320/6..i just took it from my aunt's workshop after stranded there for a month(overhauling)..pretty hard to find the parts nowadays..

Yup agree e21 parts are scarce, me too are struggling to get parts, currently I am in the midst of rebuilding it back mechanically as the last I did was more than 6 years ago, again parts availability is a challenge now.

Just did a total replacement of the brakes, power steering rack all completed, now stripping the long shaft!

Interchangeable parts is not all that hard to find out of. Internet is good for that. You need the last 7 digits of your chassis number, and part-number of part to be changed. Rest i can help with.

i think you can use sports springs with standard dampers. or you can also change to bilstein sports absorbers which the length is shorter

there is a part store in bangkok still has most of the e21 parts brand new in stocks!
even the brand new carburator! but the price is a bit high though
anyone need parts can pm me or email me to check in bangkok for you

darn my eldest son just trashed/drifted my daily driver last week on a field nearby our house wif his fellow frens...now when i drove on every speedbump there're squeeking and screeching sound on the front right suspension!!~ hate to redo the suspension,again :canabis:
