Titled Dusty Days of Freedom, the evening event was held to share the momentuous adventure of the BMW Motorrad official Ambassadors, Simon and Lisa who have been traveling over nine years continuously around the world on their BMW Motorcycles – a BMW GSA 1150 and a BMW GS 650 . The duo’s remarkable journey and adventure was showcased through a series of high resolution photographs, video and music presentation matched with humorous and captivating accounts of their exploits on the road. Welcoming Simon and Lisa to Malaysia, Mr. Fazli Shukor, Motorrad Manager, BMW Group Malaysia said, “It’s a dream for any adventure motorcyclist to travel around the world on their motorcycle and Simon and Lisa are a testament that this dream can be achieved. There are no limits when riding BMW motorcycles!” Shukor added that BMW, with its stable of GS and GS Adventure motorcycles in its Motorrad division, make some of the best adventure motorcycles in the world. He said, “Our adventure bikes are built for off road and multi terrain riding and have always proven to be the best vehicle option to traverse the globe. Many BMW Motorrad riders have proven this with the most famous being actor Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman with their Long Way Round and Long Way Down travel documentaries.”      Having travelled to 73 countries across five continents so far, Simon and Lisa have also garnered reputable titles along the way including four Guinness World Records for the longest (by time) continuous motorcycle ride by a team, furthest motorcycle ride (by distance) by a team in one continuous journey, oldest female to have circumnavigated the globe and furthest (by distance) ever ridden by a female motocyclist. “Malaysia has been a very nice host to both Lisa and I.
