Sorry Bro, I just took that off wiki :P . Anyway, next mod was to change out the damn steering wheel. Was quite surprised at how large the standard steering wheel was. The impulse-purchase . On the bright side it came with the circular airbag for what i REALLY wanted. That's right! e46 m3 smg steering wheel retrofit ! this example cost me 1.5k? w/o airbag. Got the slipring to go with it, if not your paddles won't work. You'd be okay to get a slipring that supports heated steering wheel function. WIP. I didn't do it myself unfortunately, i did but BMVAuto wanted a minimum 10 nos. purchase of all the OEM connectors that were required. That and i still don't have scantool to clear codes/read faults. What i've read/they do is thread an additonal harness from the slipring down the steering tunnel ,along the side panel and connected to the gear selector harness, and voila , thats it. 10/10 will do again. Love it on my spirited drives. This is the best picture of it installed in my car. lol
