By this point , i'd already completely lost damping functionality of this strut. Going over potholes were a nightmare ,especially at speed. I felt the shock through the shock tower, and let me tell you, it isn't a good feeling. </p><p></p><p>There was no obvious signs of leakage. On compression test (once removed from car ) , function of the strut seem regular. Then again, it wasn't a very scientific test. lol </p><p></p><p>Lubricating with a silicone-based lubricant ( i used WD-40 specialist) once a week either mask the extent of the problem and/or prolong its life. <img src="http://i.imgur.com/J5ec89X.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p>And lastly, in with the new. Inspected the springs, no sign of cosmetic damage/wear so just reused them.</p></blockquote><p></p>
