Hello everybody, I am Kozek from JB. I love to read and I believe the biggest enemy of poverty is the lack of knowledge. I always have a dream to build up a big library for everyone, but I am just a small mini mart operator. To realize this dream it may take me 300 years if I do it alone. One of my regular clients ever made such a statement: “if the price of cigarette goes up, the sale of newspaper will drop.’ What a sad phenomenon in our society. Do you realize that the government is not doing a good job promoting lifetime reading? Community library is a rarity in your place and mine. So how are we going to achieve our 2020 vision? It is our responsibility to ensure everyone receives the best education in a civil society.Today, with the power of internet, I believe I can do it with the help of my friends from cyber space. If not a big library, a small Taman Community Library (TCL) should not be a problem. My cyber buddies, please help me to fulfill ‘my’ dream and our national vision by donating your old/new books and pass this message to your friends or anyone you think they may have books to give away.My first objective is to set up a small TCL within Bandar Pasir Gudang. The reasons being: 1. Most of the residents are factory worker, they do not have extra fund to purchase book for their children.2. To improve the living standard and quality of local resident.3. It is the place where I stay.I hope the books (Textbooks, Journals and Magazines, Story Books, Comics, Newsletters, teaching aids, sheet music, maps, audiotapes, ebooks and etc) consist of primary and secondary school, college, graduate level in all fields.
