Message: <blockquote data-quote="peanut" data-source="post: 233216" data-attributes="member: 7578">The 1 series is not that much bigger than the Mini.  The A4 is due for a new model soon.  These 3 cars appeal to different target audience.  A4 competes more with 3 series and is for those that want a little bit more space.  S40 is priced much cheaper and not a bad looking and handling car.  However, compare with 120i or even the A4, I don't think S40 is as fun to drive.  120i is nice to drive and unique (much rarer) but you got very little space at the back, re-sale value sucks.  I also think that the Golf GTi is probably the better choice but not on the list.</blockquote>
