Cover bawah engin e46 utk cover air hujan terkena engin, punya susah nak dapat yg ori BMW, cari kat half cut pun semua dah pecah, yang second gred harga rm 300-380 OK ke? yang ori berapa rm?

minor problem, dirty the engine, dirty the belts and pulley and kill the tensioner bearing faster.
major problem......ada orang cakap engine block crack.

my manifold damaged at flange joint. lucky managed to get the used one, cos new one not available for my Ci.
after changing manifold the only the pickup improved and free of 'tomcat screaming sound' especially during
morning start-up. the used manifold cause me rm750, tne new one may b abut rm4k (by looking at the shape & material)

Major risk for those aluminum alloy engine block. The aluminum alloy block will crack when it's splashed with cold water when the engine is hot.. Not an issue with cast iron block.

Masalah yang paling kritikal ketika hujan langar lopak air engin yg tengah panas akan terkejut akibat terkena simbahan air lopak ia akan menudaratkan engin. ada yang pernah kena mcm tu terpaksa overhall engin ada yg sampai block crek.. :q cat pun risau tapi cat chek yg second gred punya cover tu rm 300-380 ok ke?

second gred is better than tak pasang langsung.
when sending your car to workshop, just make sure that all the screws and clips are in place everytime they reinstall it. keep one or two for spares.
otherwise, it will crack again very soon.

yap! cat baru je beli BM ni baru 1 bulan, minggu ni turun KL nak pasang. kalau harga ori BM dekat2 dgn second gred baik pakai yg ori terus. ok tq atas penjelasan kat atas, cuma nak tahu kat mana sesual nak pasang heee kalau kat BMW dah tentu sakit jantung harganye heeee

U will sakit more when there's damage done due to the absence of the cover.

However, read your other thread asking about the cat convertor for E46 1.9.

FYI, the M43TUB19 of the E4 318 1.9 is a cast iron block. So u may be spared of a cracked block unlike the M52 engines which blocks are made of aluminum alloy.
