Patching from the inside as oppsed to sticking a sticky stick thru the hole is recommended. When you mend from the outside instead of the inside repair, in suay cases, the plug may come lose while you are driving and the result would be like a tyre blowout as the air will rush out from the relatively big hole. You might lose control of the vehicle. Mending from the inside cost more as it require more work. You have to remove tyre from car (plug method...dun even need to remove wheels from the car), take out the tyre from the rims....sand down the part where there is a puncture...using a cold patch rubber (just a rubber patch with adhesive) patch on the effect part. Reinstall the tyre to the rim...balance...and put back on car. SG price for this service is around S$ 18/tyre. OK lah...considering that its safer...and I already pay $5/tyre for tyre rotation/balancing.
