Coolant Water Drip Out

Hello Guru n Shifu. My are E36 AT 318i. Last Badge 1999. Do not know what engine model ( M40, M42 or what model.Need advise. I realise a drip of water coolant (green colour) came out near by Water Pump below Plug. It came out like a setitik setitik.For Malacca state, plse suggest workshop location and for Shah Alam or Klang Valley plse advise a good workship and not expensive la....Plse suggest n advise.Thks

not expensive work shop is hard to find if you're a new customer. The best rate is always the work shop you frequent go to. Or going to a work shop your friend frequent go to, and your friend would know if the mechanic is over charging you.

Your water pump is gone, change it before it overheats and more cost you will get(top overhaul). Your car should be the M43 engine(8 valve with timing chain).

mine also have the same prob. coolant drip a lot when started but gradually decrease and stop as the engine is getting warmer. found out that the plastic coolant part has a bad thread (knowing it has never been change for few years). that thing cost less than RM150

water pump kaput Bro..I just kena last week change the water pump..masih belum bayar workshop lagi...case like this very straight foreward no need for specialised mechanic..

while your at it, fit new hoses and replace the plastic thermostat cover, also if you can, replace the radiator, 100k is the replacement milage im told.

asmentioned above, overheat=topend overhaul...........
