Coolant expansion tank concern...

Sifus,Excuse me if this is a silly question...I just myself a E60 520D. The coolant expansion tank feels very hot when touch. Is this normal ?I am used to non continental cars where there is a cap on the radiator which felt hot but the expansion coolant tank is not hot.Can someone help clarifies ? Thanks

Aiyo coolant tanks holds hot water when the engine is running la, if you see the coolant temperature on the OBC its nearly 100 degree celcius already..of course hot.

Hehe... I thought the expansion tank stores coolant reserve like the non conti car. The coolant reserve tank don't feels hot.

Guess it is different
