hey there, anyone here running their e36 on coilover setup. just wondering what kinda wheel offset and sizing are you using? i am currently experiencing some problems with my 18" 235/40/18 acs type 3 and coilover set up. the front coilover is touching the tires and putting a set of 10mm spacers will only help abit as it only causes the outer edges to rubbed onto the fenders... any pointer/guidance appeciated THANKS

Bro,

I think 235/40/18 is too wide for E36 front tyre. Even 225/40/18 oso rubbing the inner side when turning. Not sure about yr suspension set up but I think for coilover adjustable suspension should be smaller than ori and give more inner space. Hv u consult any tyre shop?

i have been running 235/40/18 for ages and have even fitted 245 in the pass. MY problem is not with the tires but the OFFSET!!!!

appreciate any help from Those of you who have experience running a set of coilovers.

strange question you have......

you mention your tires are rubbing the fender.... so i ask you this; Are your guards rolled? If not, get it done, then try it out again.

Strange how your coils will rub when your other set didn't. Would it be possible to do a diameter measurement around the offending area? then compare the two.

Strange thing is that it didn't rub before, it shouldn't rub now.

:p No point shouting la bro, just trying to get some info & helping u out.

i am currently experiencing some problems with my 18" 235/40/18 acs type 3 and eibach coilover set up. the front coilover is touching the tires and putting a set of 10mm spacers will only help abit as it only causes the outer edges to rubbed onto the fenders.

 really strange, first u said this and later something else

daniel, initialM, thanks for your prompt respond.

unfortunately i will need to clarify that the outer edge of tire rubbing on to the fender is only a secondary problem as this only came about with the usage of a 10mm spacer to push the front wheels further out to temporarily solve my PRIMARY headache which is the inner edge of the wheel rubbing on to the new coilover set up.

SO my question to THOSE with coilover setup on their car would be:-

1) what rim offset/ET are you using for your coilover setup??

2) camber settings on your car?

THANKS
