Description: - Prevent instability especially during cornering - Adjust angle to pin point perfection - Prevent over-weighting on cars - Shock-adsorbent - Superior Stopping ability Overall, it's absorber protector. It protect your absorber so that it can use for longer period. These rubbers are just wrap around 4 coil springs Suitable for stock absorber & Coil Spring and after-market absorber & Coil Spring.

geoff,

These are NOT BUMP STOPS......bump stops reside inside the spring/absorber....and is attached on the rod the absorber has.

These are spring helpers ( and possibly called other names too )....but they are to help your springs take more load ie. during towing or heavy loads.

No, they are not performance items.

Above are what I read, sorry if you disagree with my 2 cents.

Thanks for your kind input.. I have installed it with my lowered spring. It firmed up my ride and also car have less roll too. So far so good... happy

what happen when go over a super bump or a port hole. The rubber absorber will either be squash until it break or the absorber will be prevent to absorber the shock and hence will transfer all the force to the wheel bearings.

In Kelantan, they use 'selipar Jepun' (slide multiple 'selipar jepun' in between the coil) reason .... to carry more 'beras Siam' . and it works .... hehehe:rock:

ditto! :top:

Wow.. never knew of the effect. So far so good and always avoid the super bump and port holes.

I believe it is worse of lowered car are without it as the lower arm and many others parts will suffer when kena super bump and port holes too.

Please advice

Geof, please remove it, unless you want to get into a accident.. if the car engineers did invent this contraption, it will be in our cars today...
on suspension issues dun play with your life..

why, if you on the highway, and at 160kp/h you cross over a hump in the road.. the springs won't compress neither a re-bound takes place, your car would either turtle or flung off the road..

think about it..

Thanks Pussy for the kind advice...

I'll have it removed later today.

Not nice to mention it in the forum ya as they members of the club too..

Tak apa la.. I am lucky to post it up in here.

I've installed it on my E30 lowered spring as well, but it's a diff thing. Mine is made of silicon and it's a lot fatter..Mine is being slotted into the spring where the spring resides in it firmly..after installation, the height of the car is heighten by half an inch and the spring doesn't feel that stiff after all..not promoting any product, juz my opinion..

kinda agree with what pussy is saying..let me try it for a while more then i'll convince myself to remove it..

cheers

Aiyah this topic still going huh?

Malaysia boleh! Guys - you all drive BMW so please think why would you spend more money doing something the factory spend MILLIONS to do. Can YOU do better?

As said by Pussy, its ur life and ur families but pls dun crash into me when u bottom out or dun ever let any of this silicon-kah, rubber-kah fly off and take an innocent bystander life.

I was being nice when I said this is not a performance item. If your springs feel better with this - its because ur spring is already dead and sagging! Yes, spring has also a lifespan. DOOH!

I am speaking as a qualified Mech Engineer.

As Jules mentioned," springs also has life-span " , which i agree , what would the estimated life expentancy for springs, in kms/miles or in years ?
Would sport spring be shorter compared to standard springs?

Sorry to bring up this thread...

Just want to know the estimated of the life-span spring?? Now I'm using eibach sport spring for front (more than 8years used I think..).. & installed new front absober Bilstein black + dust cover (like hard sponge) but after that my car height different left & right... confiusing.... before this the height was same...
or the installation new absorber not properly.....anyone have experiances about this???
