Dudes whats the hue and cry about? Check out any of the brit BMW mags and stuff like these abound.... DMS, AMD, Superchips, Viper, chippedUK all offer similar products to harness the untapped potential of diesels and/or turbodisels. Its practically the only way to tune modern BMWs today. And yes people like DMS claim that it is 'undetectable' as well as easily reversible and given their rock solid reputations (or rather from what I have read about them), I wouldnt doubt them. The days of old skool performance tuning are probably numbered - manipulation of the engine management, FI (turbo or supercharge) and, in some cases, straighforward engine swaps are probably the way forward. Check out the latest and greatest from AC Schnitzer and Hartge.... (Hartge is the one that favours engine swaps.... the easiest way to get massive performance increases eg their E46 M3 based H50). Apparently, to the Europeans, the future is diesel.... the first diesel race cars are already making their way onto the track.... and every other car sold today are diesels.... problem is diesel prices are going up here in boleh land... but thats a different story altogether.
