[QUOTE="danc, post: 6970, member: 2441"] Ok I have another newbie question. I noticed that there is no way to check the level of the transmission fluid (i.e. most jap mobile have a dip stuck for this like the engine oil dip stick)Does this mean there is no need to check transmission fluid? Is it a sealed gearbox thus no top up is needed. Heard that the oil needs to be changed after 200,000km true? Anyone changed their BMW transmission fluid earlier than that?I have always changed the fluid every 30-50K km in my previous rides to reduce gearbox problems which we all dread! Also by being able to see the condition of the oil gives you some indication of the "health" of your gearbox.Additonal noticed there isn't an indication for power steering fluid as well ??Thanks and Happy Motoring!
