Hi... It is a common understanding in international forums that this is a torque converter issue. Previously it happened to my 328i and got exhaust cam sensor code, changed and all good. After a while it came back with even less power, change intake cam sensor and power is back, but this issue remains. Main forum points out torque converter, as it does also make sense. Plus, at very high RPMS, eg high acceleration and high speed at gear 5, it kinda judder a little with minor power loss. Check the Torq Converter out, maybe oil tak cukup, maybe even more sinister. I haven't yet, anyone done it, please post your results for all to see. I will do it in my next service, if got budget larr. Either way it would cost more money, but I am still glad I am driving it. By the way, RON95 is ok for BMW... it can run on RON91-98 only. While maintaining AKI of min 89. Usually MON is -10 of RON, thus RON95 makes it 90 AKI. Nothing to do with power whatsoever. Unless of course you need the RON97 due to excessive compression ratio, which our Bimmer do not have (stock). I wonder how much it would cost to change the torque converter, as I am seriously thinking of changing it.
