Picture this, going overseas for a week plus leaving your ride at home collecting dust and water marks and acid rain residue....this ain't a pretty sight after your week + overseas trip. Has any of you had issues with car covers with the intention of protecting the body paint? You see, I have had conflicting views on this and here's rhe negative ones:1)The standard polyester type (silverish colour) car covers, eg. you can get it from GS Auto in Jln 222 (apparently made in Japan) may cause some permanent damage to the car. In certain condition, where moist/water and heat combined may cause the car cover silverish colour residue to be infused onto the car paint. Apparently, even Meguiar's US experts came down to KL sometime back to look at one case and they could not repair the damage with any car care products, the only solution was to respray that section. 2)The car covers may scratch the body paint cuase by  the wind blowing th car covers.3)Some say, cover the car with a car cover made of mitt material as layer one, then cover it with the polyester one as 2nd layer for the water proofing purposes...but the problem is, where to find the mitt car cover in the first place? AM not sure how true these stories are but would like to hear from you guys if you have experience where car covers caused some body paint/scratch issues? So there is nothing to be concerned about, what type will be a good choice and where to get it in KL/PJ area?Appreciate your thoughts on this one. Many thanks. Cheers.</p></blockquote><p></p>
