Buying a second hand E30

I was contemplating between a 260E (Merc) and E30 BMW. My old friend is offering me his 1984 E30 for RM 4K. He is the first owner.Everything is original stock car. Wonder if it is worth the effort to buy the BM. Pls advise.

if you intend to keep it and have the budget, get the facelifted E30 (post '89).. better rust protection...

by the way, how much the merc and the condition. Put up some photo (front, rear, side, engine bay, internal) of your friend car here so that we can evaluate it against the price, at least.

If you could provide some more details on the merc and E30 as well as pictures, then we can probably give you better answers. RM4K for the E30 with only 1 owner sounds like a good deal. Of course, we have no idea on the condition of the E30 and whether the current owner is someone who takes good care of it.
