Lots of really nice cars to see, exp the M5, M6 and 130. Q's for the car were really long (waited 2 over hours to get a ride). Actually quite dissapointed to get the 116i but when told it was the only manual bimmer available (not including mcs) cheared up abit.  Got nik and his friend to join the test drive (so we could change midway and have longer time with the car). So had 4 ppl in the car, and even then it did not feel too sluggish. Car felt tight, no scuttle shakes, however had to redline it (6.5K) to get the car really moving (should have been better without all the other passengers) Exhaust note was not too boomy even at redline, internal space was quite acceptable (actually more then my 4-door e30), no active steering, so steering feedback was good. My only gripe with the car was the gearshifts, they were very long, and the clutch catch point was quite high.  Cost.......~160K abt as much as second hand MSC. Possibly the closest BMw has done to replicate the raw driving characteristics of the e30. Couldn't wait anymore for another car but overall had a great afternoon, thanx again to BMW for the event.</blockquote>
