Well, for a start members and friends of BMW Club Malaysia, Italia Auto, Mitsubishi Lancer Owners Club and Japan Sport Owners Club (JSOC) combined and pooled their resources for a good cause and raised RM 65,000 to purchase a brand new Kia Preggio for Good Samaritan Home, an orphanage home located in Southern Park Klang which houses about 40 children.</p><p></p><p><img src="http://cbt.com.my/sites/default/files/90/g10.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p>"The new van will be used to fetch kids to and from school and since it is a big van, it will reduce the number of trips needed," said Pastor Albert Ong which runs the home together with his wife.</p><p></p><p>The idea of this charity drive started during a visit to the home by a few members of BMW Club Malaysia during Christmas, and subsequently other car clubs were roped in, into what is believed to be the first joint charity drive involving some of the bigger car clubs in Malaysia. The Presidents of the three car clubs, Wong Kah Keen (BMW Club Malaysia), Samuel Lee (Italia Auto) and Leslie Ewe (Mitsubishi Lancer Owners Club) were present to officially handover the van to the Pastor Albert Ong. What initially seemed to be an insurmountable task was made possible with the generosity of all involved.</p><p></p><p><img src="http://cbt.com.my/sites/default/files/90/good-samaritan-6906.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p>Mr Wong said about the event, "while we are all passionate about our cars, making them look good and faster, we should also remember that there are unfortunate ones that need a vehicle for basic transportation and which some of us have taken for granted."</p></blockquote><p></p>
