Sharing the news on the latest derivative of the Z4 sDrive35iS:After they unveiled the Zagato Coupe at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, BMW and Zagato decided to present the Zagato Roadster at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The car’s body features many of the same design elements seen on the coupe, including Zagato’s take on the BMW dual kidney grille, which is matte-finished and integrates the letter “Z” into its design.Truth be told, we favor the Roadster’s design a little more than the Coupe’s, which places so much of its visual mass over the rear axle.Inside the BMW Zagato Roadster’s cabin, its brown leather seats feature colour contrasting stitching as does the leather steering wheel and centre console. The seats are also embroidered with a ‘z’ emblem.Like the coupe, the BMW Zagato Roadster is based on the Z4 sDrive35iS and is powered by a 3.0 liter turbocharged 6-cylinder engine making close to 400-hp.Source: www.inautonews.com. When I first saw the hardtop,Ii was a little bit so-so for the rear and its roof line, but now when its put beside the roadster, both cars' design language certianly make sense and are absolute eye candy!
I pray that they would put this into production or maybe an inspiration for the next Z4M :4:

Yes, its really stunning :top:
I wasn't a fan of the 1st gen Z4, did a second look at the current Z4.. but this Zagato roadster finally has the looks to match its price tag.. hmm.. which wld be more desirable, a Zagato inspired Z4M or an M4 coupe?

..M version of Zagato will be fine, but im afraid, its not going to happen, or better say, highly unlikely to happen M version for Z's...they just doesnt make enough money, according to BMW standard, what is reasonable, considering its 2 seater nature..

Hi Ecc0, yes the Z's is a niche play. There hav been Z3M and Z4M in the past.. so not unthinkable to hav them again in the future..

..yeah, of course..I was lucky to get one lovely, and im afraid its going to be rarity in time in front of us..its not impossible..Im just saying that, it is highly unlikely, by looking at market right now..BMW M division clearly showing all signatures of something what was not at begining..

I agree, but if the markets prove otherwise with the potential Z4M's competitors : AMG SL63, XKR & 911 Turbo, there is always that possibility of a sudden change in management decisions.
I believe the reality is that they are playing it safe by making more of those half-breed M-Sports cars till they are certain the market is ready for another through-bred UDM roadster.

If I want Italian.. I won't consider BMW.. it just doesn‘t fit the equation well. The Zagato Z4 tail lights looks like American.. horrible!

Another BMW with American looking tail lights was the legendary M1.. also penned by an Italian..
Hmm.. German + Italian = American?? .. maybe thats why the roadster was revealed in Florida.. :39:

Here's another blow to the anti-Italian-BMW perception. Arguably the most beautiful generation of the BMW range during the 90s: the E34 and E32, were penned by an Italian.
