BMW servicing - bring your own engine oil?

Has anybody tried bringing their own engine oil to use at a BMW dealer for a service? Let's say I prefer to use Motul 8100 X-max 5W30, or some other brand.

I've done that in Auto Bavaria Glenmarie. They have no problem with that.

If your car is under BSRI, there appears little reason to bring your own oil - you've already paid for the lube
