Affected models are sDrive35 model of the Z4 Roadster, 335i, 135i 535i and the X6 xDrive35i Sports Activity Coupes manufactured between the years of 2007 and 2010. http://money.cnn.com/2010/10/26/autos/bmw_recall/The clip from ABC, the guys who pushed the recall decision by BMWhttp-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ0PRFHEhwo"]http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ0PRFHEhwo

Wonder if my grey import 335i will be entitled for a free change of the dreaded HPFP....

Don't think BMW solved the problem yet, they will just check and change the part if necessary. The problem may occur again in the future.

I believe not yet, the media forced them to do the recall. Better do a recall than to suffer the terrible thrashing Toyota received recently.

The fault is not that serious compared to the runaway Toyota problems or the sudden loss of power faced by some Protons here. At least the Beemer can still function in limp mode.
