To be honest though, road tax should be the least of your worries even if you're gonna get a 3.5. It's yearly and you'll just have to divide it by 12 to see its worth versus your income. Maintenance can be costly of course but that's a price many of us are willing to pay. We can't compare to japanese cars (malaysian cars aside considering the amount of freaking mark up at their SCs are insane to start with). The price however, gives us the ultimate driving pleasure and of course being a step higher than most around us and it's a great business tool regardless of status as employee or as an employer.
