BMW brings Performance Package at 2011 Geneva Motor Show

Shortly after the Geneva Motor Show where the Performance Package will be fully revealed, you will be able to order an upgrade kit for your 1 Series or 3 Series, a kit which consists of few mechanical improvements that will finally result into more horsepower amount and also a better sprint.

For the beginning, BMW will offer the Performance Package for the 120d and 320d, extra 20 horsepower and 40 Nm of torque being delivered by the 2.0-liter engine which offers in standard 177 horses, if we talk about the 1 Series.Talking about the BMW 320d, you can opt for the same improvements able to boost the power to around 200 horses, mainly thanks to a revised ECU unit, an improved soft namely and some other minor changes. The Germans didn’t revealed any other details on the new Performance Package but according to the first details the 520d is also very likely to benefit from this package.
