Driving joy is back again And for the 3 years that I had the 320d, the only issue I had was a jerky gearbox during deceleration that was very promptly solved by a recalibration at the dealer's.My friend who bought the 320d with me is still driving his. 5 years + and around 80k km, no issues reported except for a abs and light bulb sensor which were easily and cheaply changed.  As is usually commented by most SA, the diesels seem to have a better reliability rating than the petrol cousins.  Maybe, it's due to sturdier materials to handle the engine torque.  Do you know that our 20d engine block is still cast iron and not aluminum?</blockquote>
