Go to a BMW showroom and ask for a test drive. I too was initially skeptical but I am a convert. With the spare $$ from buying the diesel there is many more upgrade you can make after the warranty has expired. I do however admit the lacking of the idrive though. I've seen the 316d in the European market and they even possess the idrive. Guess we're a more forgiving lot who won;t set fire to BMW HQ for shortselling us. Ha Ha!![/QUOTE]
