My 2 cents. The Passat...looks like an elongated brinjal-out! You want a sporty looking car besides the 8secs and below century sprint, right? The BMW and Merc are at the end of the day the leading 2 brands in the world of the marques we can afford to buy and drive daily. So,I think why not wait for a while before driving them? Now, the Audi with their distinct DRLs and I also heard raves about the Quattro AWD handling. Audi is usually a car you won't consider buying unless you got something against a Merc or a BMW badge. I figure,if you ever thought of buying an Audi, this is the best time as any-with the 1.8 Quatrro,of buying one. CBU quality, all wheeldrive in that price bracket..what more do you want? The 325i with his sweet revving 6 cylinders engine is a great car...but it's also almost a yesterday car, with the new 3 series rolling out just around the corner. But I read a BMW magazine just yesterday which said, this is the best time to buy the 325i for exactly those reasons-you won't find many 6 cylinders NA cars around in the future, it commented. But then again, go test drive again and again...and tell us,ok?-your pick! We also worked hard in helping you with your predicament!...ha ha!
