My rear RFT tire had worn until the tire wear indicator was showing so have to change them. But cannot change the rear side only because the outer side of the front tire was also badly worn, So have to change 4 tires and decided to go for non-RFT just to see how it is. Docray also wanted to change his tires so we went tire hunting the past week. It was so difficult to get one set of same model tyres for 4 sides. 225/40/R17 front and 255/40/R17 back. Wanted to get Michelin PS3 but no rear size available. PS2 don't have stock for the front. For CSC3, new stock is only coming next month. Finally managed to get Falkens with the right spec. Currently using the 32 psi front/34 psi back pressure like I had on my RFT but it feels too soft with the new non-RFT. May have to adjust to higher pressure until it feels right. The new tires gives a very quiet and comfy ride. Engine and wind noise suddenly becomes very noticeable during highway travel because I think the RFT somehow drowns those noise with its droning sound. Slow and medium speed corners now have better feel to them. Need to get the tire sealant sometime next week.
