Side markers or reflectors front and rear are mandatory for all cars made in the US since the 70s.

My UK version Z4 had them which is quite common for that year, but later stopped.

The bumper is made with a recess to accommodate the reflector. To stick them on looks tacky.

I am sure there is a way to retrofit it on our local models as well

laser cut a pcs of 3M reflector to shape and stick it on..I guess it will be flat enough..hihi
