Emm... what a discussion :D Based on my xperince of driving e46 for 4 years. Using a 18 inch "heavy" rims for the past 3 years and having BMC for about 1 mth... i think the filter has made some difference to my ride. It makes the car smootheer in xcelleration and FC. Why i am saying this, well... First of all when u tekan the pedal, i feel better pick up and xcelleration... Just can feel it..the difference pre and post BMC ( U know your car rite...like if there is anything wrong or bunyi somewhere... ) I am not looking for miracle in power wise as i am using only 2.0. If i am, might as well as get myself a M3/M5 :). Do remember that my BMC does not increased the engine sound as i have connected the air intake with the alluminium coil to the front of the car. So no increase in sound and air is sucked directly from outside to the CDA... One more thing, i noticed that before BMC, my normal everage FC for my daily ride is about 10-11L/100km. Now its about 7-8L/100km ( daily ride is everage of 80 - 120km/h + traffic jam) Its either my meter has gone wrong or there is better FC... I don't have to stop by the petrol station much often now. Anyway, being a doctor... everything is evidence based medicine. So for the torque, topspeed, horsepower etc questions... i cannot answer that, as i have no evidence to support eg: dyno etc... Everything else is just based on my personal xperience :)
